I remember when I was a kid, during late 1980’s there were not a blast of many channels. There was only one “Doordarshan” (India’s National Channel) and after the main news bulletin there was segment called “Mausam Ki Jankari” (a weather report) and very superficially the reader use to touch points on weather forecast, and the segment use to end with the forth coming days weather of main metro cities. In today’s times the weather forecast has been upgraded and there is information even sometimes discussion on how the weather would react and affect people living in that particular area, if any unfavorable circumstances occur.
