What if once again we have to go through another Lockdown?

 

With Webinars and Zoom meetings there is lot of talk but no actions. 

First things first: 

As the lockdown has eased in most parts.

Time to address the concerns and take measures to rectify-

 

Cyber security: During Work from Home or Remote, 

there is a huge influx of personal devices which tend to be less secure. 

Managing device sprawl, patching and 

securing hundreds of endpoints is a growing challenge.

 

IT infrastructures may have adjusted to ensure security tooling 

to work outside office network, and to control and monitor web traffic. 

But how many networks have the capacity and capabilities 

in their respective regions in each country?

Any data available on these lines?

 

Staff working from home may find it difficult to consistently 

practice proper cybersecurity hygiene for extended periods of time. 

Have firms and their IT advised vigilance and heeded proper guidelines?

 

1.  Like installing antivirus software.

 

2.  Ensuring systems and apps to be regularly updated, 

utilizing multifactor, authentication and not clicking on suspicious links.

 

Several countries moved to epayouts to citizens and businesses 

to bolster local economies. 

Have the Tech Heads made it clear 

what services and technologies are allowed and which ones are not and Why?

 

Firms now need to engage in PSA’s to update policies and governance processes, 

enabling work to be done while maintaining compliance, 

security and privacy requirements.

 

More heavily regulated industries like Finance Service sectors, 

government, military security may have additional challenges 

because of regulatory requirements. 

There-fore collaboration on best practices and methodologies for

 implementation amongst IT, Management and Users need to be sought out.
